Job summary

KOHLS is seeking a Maintenance Technician to promote workplace efficiency by maintaining, inspecting, and repairing facilities, equipment and machinery. You will perform daily inspections of conveyors and PM on air compressors, generators, and material handling equipment.

This role requires basic tools, ability to work with minimal supervision, and adherence to MSDS and lock-out/tag procedures. You will work across multiple shifts to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC tasks.
• Familiarity with MSDS standards and lock-out/tag procedures.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Comfort climbing ladders and handling power equipment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair conveyor systems and equipment daily.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on air compressors, generators, and handling equipment.
• Inspect and repair fire protection equipment.
• Manage parts inventory and administration.
• Assist outside contractors as needed.
• Respond promptly to jams and maintenance issues.
• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting and office moves.
• Perform routine maintenance on heating and air conditioning units.
• Maintain lighting throughout the facility.
• Recycle sorting and material handling tasks.

Shifts:
Monday-Thursday 2pm-12am

Monday-Thursday 10pm-8am

About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will promote workplace efficiency and profitability by maintaining, inspecting and repairing facilities, equipment and machinery.

What You’ll Do

• Daily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and equipment
• Routine inspection, preventative maintenance and maintenance of air compressors, generators, compactors, bailers, conveyors and power and material handling equipment
• Perform inspection and repair of fire protection equipment
• Parts administration

• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting and office furniture moves
• Perform routine maintenance on heating and air conditioning units
• Maintain lighting throughout the facility
• Sort, stack and load pallets, cardboard, aluminum, steel and light bulbs for recycling

• Assist outside contractors in performing various duties
• Promptly answer calls for jams, malfunctions or other maintenance-related issues

What Skills You Have
