Job summary

Sumitomo Electric USA is seeking a full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our precision manufacturing team in New Berlin, WI. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines and other equipment in a well‑lit, temperature‑controlled shop.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, perform preventive maintenance, and may train junior staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive industrial maintenance preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work under limited supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.+.
• General knowledge and skill with basic hand tools.
• Adherence to safety protocols and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Examine machines to diagnose issues, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.
• Repair CNC machines and/or robotics.
• May occasionally make replacement parts.
• General preventative maintenance of machinery.
• Provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff.

Sumitomo is looking for a full time experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team!

Pay range: $25 to $45 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience!

Brief Description:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines and various other machinery.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Examine machines to diagnose issues, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation

Work Environment:

Well-lit temperature-controlled machine shop. Employees will need to be able to work while standing, sitting, bending, and climbing. Employees will be occasionally lifting and working inside of machines.
