Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Carbide Manufacturing specializes in high-performance carbide cutting tools and is seeking CNC Machine Operators for all shifts. A $2,000 hiring bonus is offered.

Prior experience with Walter, Waida, Wire EDM, Fanuc, Sodick or ANCA is a plus but not required. Responsibilities include operating CNC machines, setting up equipment, reading blueprints, and maintaining tight tolerances with precision measurement tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions.
• Experience with G&M Code is a plus but not required.
• Experience operating CNC grinding equipment (Walter, Waida, Wire EDM, Fanuc, Sodick, ANCA) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and make offset adjustments.
• Learn how to setup CNC machines.
• Identify and use the correct tools while maintaining tight measurements and tolerances.
• Follow detailed instructions and operating procedures.
• Install/change tools and correctly position materials in the CNC machines.
• Adjust machine settings and fixtures to ensure the part meets requirements.
• Use precision measuring equipment to inspect finished parts.
• Read part drawings/blue prints.

Sumitomo Electric Carbide Manufacturing specializes in the manufacturing of high-performance carbide cutting tools. We are looking for CNC Machine Operators to join our growing team.

Any experience working with Walter, Waida, Wire EDM, Fanuc, Sodick, or ANCA is a plus!

Job Duties:

• Operate CNC machines and make offset adjustments
• Learn how to setup CNC machines
