Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support Mauston, WI operations on-site.

You will perform preventive maintenance, repair, and service on industrial equipment, and work independently with a practical, can-do attitude to resolve problems and keep production running smoothly. Qualified candidates bring basic electrical and mechanical knowledge, familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics, and PLC/drive awareness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; PLC and Drives training is a plus.
• Strong mechanical/electrical knowledge for industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, upgrade systems (VFDs/PLCs/HMIs).
• Repair or replace worn parts such as belts, bearings, motors, and pumps.
• Assist with planning, design, ordering, and record-keeping as needed.
• Work independently or in a team with a safety-focused approach.
• Maintain safe and responsible work practices.

Job duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining, Troubleshooting, Repairing, Cleaning, Installing, Rebuilding, Retrofitting, of Industrial Equipment
• Upgrading Electrical Systems, Wiring, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, Etc.
• Troubleshoot problems and repair
• Repair or replace worn out, damaged parts as needed. Belts, Bearings, Motors, Pumps, Pipe Fittings, Etc.
• Knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical Controls, Forklifts, Building and Grounds Care, would be a plus.
• At times, Planning, Designing, Ordering, Recording, Note-Taking, Organizing
• Hands on while assisting with general maintenance as needed
• Willing to work alone or with a team. Self-Starter and can get along with Co-workers.
• Perform work in safe and responsible manner.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Trained in PLC and Drives will be a plus

• Must be able to work on site in Mauston, WI
