Principal Duties/Responsibilities

• Performs mid to expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance, including observing devices in operation, diagnosing root causes, dismantling devices, examining parts, adjusting, repairing or replacing defective parts, testing device performance, and reconditioning machine tools.
• Identifies and sources parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary.
• Independently performs maintenance according to industry standards.
• Sets up and operates multiple machining tools such as lathe, drill press, grinder, and may perform welding tasks.
• Follows 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities, reviews CMMS records, and troubleshoots control systems.
• Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment data.
• Assists lower-level technicians and leads small teams; engages in ongoing training and development.
• Follows all safety policies and identifies unsafe behaviors and conditions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required

• High School diploma or GED; Associate degree with a technical focus and 3 years of related experience or 5 years of industry experience, or successful completion of ATS Technician Progression Program.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems; capable of analyzing problems and performing repairs.
• Ability to use basic and specialized hand tools; may require travel.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Regularly required to stand, walk, handle, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate; occasionally lift over 50 pounds; work in loud factory environments with potential exposure to hazards and weather conditions.

ATS offers a pay range of $28.15 — $35.99 USD, with actual salaries varying based on multiple factors.
