Our Maintenance Technicians work together to perform general maintenance troubleshooting and repairs at our state-of-the-art production facility in Blair, NE.

Through training and certification programs, Novozymes also provides the opportunity to significantly increase your hourly pay and earn promotions.

Expected entry salary range: $24/hr to $28/hr base wages. With shift differential*, annual earnings are approximately $65k to $75k.

*Shift differential adds $1.50/hr during evening/night hours and overtime pay for Sunday hours.

Potentially Relevant Experience:

• 2-3 years of previous work experience as an industrial maintenance technician preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent with ability to calculate basic math and science problems.
• Ability to read manuals to understand equipment and controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical power systems, motor drives, control systems, as well as instruments used in our process.
• Capacity to install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge on disassembling machinery and equipment when it needs maintenance or repair.
• Capability to adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications.
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Safety mindset with ability to proactively fix a safety hazard.
• Aptitude for learning and understanding operation of various testing equipment, tools, and procedures.
• Proficiency operating computerized programs. Knowledge of SAP system a plus.
• Physical ability for all aspects of the job including lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted, pulling hoses up to 20 lbs, climbing stairs and walking frequently, working at heights and in confined spaces, bending/stooping regularly, and ability to work in changing temperatures.
