Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about safety while maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery? If so, Artemis Staffing is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our client’s growing team in Kentucky.

Industrial Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift - PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Position Summary

The individual in this role will provide critical support to the Manufacturing and Engineering departments in the areas of fixture design, troubleshooting, welding conditions, robotics, press repairs, and preventive maintenance.

Experience Requirements

The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems. Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills are essential. Candidates should have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and must be capable of installing advanced electrical wiring and interpreting PLC ladder logic and I/O diagrams.

Key Responsibilities and Competencies Include:

• Knowledge of basic and advanced power wiring principles
• Installation and troubleshooting of factory wiring, conduit systems, and 3-phase circuits
• Understanding and application of basic and advanced motor controls, including contactors, overloads, servo systems, and VFD drives
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting relay circuits
• Installation and troubleshooting of PLC wiring and basic PLC programming (including I/O reassignment)
• Troubleshooting industrial robots and resistance welding controls
• Familiarity with Windows-based computer systems and basic file management
• Strong abilities in electrical, mechanical, and automation troubleshooting
• Experience with progressive, tandem, and transfer press operations
• Knowledge of electrodeposition paint systems and weld fixture design/fabrication

The candidate must be capable of working independently across various shifts and possess a comprehensive understanding of programmable logic controllers, including Fuji and Omron systems. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with OSHA safety standards applicable to automotive manufacturing and maintenance operations are required.

Education Requirements

A college or technical degree in a related field is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Journeyman Electrician License (preferred)
• PLC Programming Certification (preferred)

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

• Work is primarily conducted in a well-lit and ventilated facility
• Requires prolonged standing, walking, and occasional sitting
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, bending, and handling
• Must be able to effectively communicate through speaking, hearing, reading, and writing
• Requires manual dexterity, hand-eye-foot coordination, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Exposure to industrial chemicals, cleaning agents, and related substances

Tools, Equipment, and Software Utilized

• Computers with Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, and IDEAS software
• Industrial robots and PLC systems
• General hand tools and shop equipment (e.g., drill press, milling machine, hand grinders)
• Spot and projection welders
• Pneumatic systems
