As an Electro-Mechanical, Automation Distribution Technician supporting our Johns Creek, GA site, you will be responsible for a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.

In this role, a typical day will include:

Alcon is seeking to hire an Electro-Mechanical, Automation Distribution Technician to join our Process Engineering team at Johns Creek Distribution. Responsibilities include constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, diagnosing, and maintaining equipment, components, devices, or systems. You will work from schematics, engineering drawings, and instructions, operate related equipment, conduct tests, report data, perform calibration and alignment checks, and make adjustments or replacements as directed.

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on production lines/equipment and perform corrective maintenance to ensure reliable operation.
• Write and implement SOPs and Preventive Maintenance procedures with minimal supervision.
• Identify and implement mechanical/electrical improvements to enhance quality, compliance, reliability, and reduce costs, following cGMP and SOPs.
• Collaborate with teams to identify reliability issues and provide feedback on equipment status and repair estimates.
• Maintain a safe work environment, keeping areas clean and hazard-free.
• Use maintenance hand and power tools and test equipment safely.
• Adjust work activities based on production priorities.
• Report and resolve discrepancies promptly.

What you'll bring to Alcon:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate fluently in English
• Work hours: 2nd shift, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Preferred qualifications

• Basic computer skills, including MS Office suite
• Associates or technical degree/certificate in electrical or mechanical fields
• Experience in industrial maintenance
• Knowledge of automated distribution systems (conveyors, picking machines)
• Basic electronics knowledge
