Job summary

Ideal candidates have vocational training or equivalent experience and at least 1 year of related experience, with knowledge of OSHA/MSHA regulations, and strong troubleshooting and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Mechanical analysis, design tools, and blueprints knowledge.
• Understanding of mechanical controls and diagrams.
• Familiarity with mechanical test equipment design.
• Strong mechanical theory and troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspects mechanical equipment to ensure they remain functional and up to code.
• Determines reasons for malfunctions and creates maintenance or repair plans.
• Repairs mechanical equipment to maintain full functioning capacity under supervision.
• Tests systems with devices to ensure safety and compatibility.
• Reviews blueprints to understand equipment layout for correct service and repairs.
• Keeps records of maintenance, repairs, supplies used and ordered.
• Ensures routine maintenance is performed on schedule to reduce costs and risk.
• Participates in mechanical field projects as needed.
• Performs additional tasks as required to support team operations.
