Job summary

Martin Marietta seeks a skilled Millwright to repair and maintain plant equipment, including welding, hydraulics, and rigging. You will read blueprints, align machinery, and perform precise assembly and installation of conveyors, pumps, and other systems.

This role requires passing welding tests (arc and oxy/acetylene), working from blueprints, and adhering to safety standards. Shift work is expected, with duties across multiple maintenance tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum set of hand tools as specified by the Company.
• Read and understand blueprints and equipment instructions.
• Weld with proficiency to pass welding test (electrical arc and oxy/acetylene).
• Knowledge of safety practices in maintenance field.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle machinery or equipment using hand tools.
• Move machinery using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Assemble and install equipment such as conveyors and tram rails.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks, and precision tools.
• Dismantle, weld, rivet, and fasten components to foundations.
• Operate lathes or milling machines to finish parts.
• Repair and lubricate machinery and equipment.
• Rig hoisting equipment and supervise hoisting operations.
• May perform duties of General Laborer or Carpenter as needed.
