WITRON Logistik + Informatik GmbH in Hempstead, TX is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to uphold a cutting-edge automated material handling system. You will ensure safety, improve performance, and perform electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision.

The role includes hands-on training with travel, hotel accommodations, and a travel bonus, preparing you to support our fast-paced distribution center before the 2027 launch.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years in electrical and/or mechanical roles; 5+ years preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical skills (3-Phase, 480V, DC, 24V).
• Familiarity with drives, PLC/controls/inverters.
• Knowledge of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring techniques.
• Experience with material handling systems in distribution environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a state-of-the-art automated material handling system.
• Prioritize safety and maximize system performance.
• Handle electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision.

Are you a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician ready to take on the challenge of maintaining a state-of-the-art automated material handling system in a fast-paced distribution center? We are looking for a dedicated professional who prioritizes safety, thrives on maximizing system performance, and excels in both electrical and mechanical tasks.

Pay ranges between $28.00-$35.00 per hour

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Approach all tasks and situations with a safety-first mindset, ensuring the well-being of yourself and your team.
• Enhance system performance and minimize downtime through effective maintenance activities.
• Engage in a wide range of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision.
• Assist the production team with basic fault correction, coaching, and troubleshooting.
• Aid in the installation of new components or the refurbishment of existing system components.
• Drive continuous improvement activities through comprehensive system knowledge and site-specific enhancements.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in industrial technology or related field, preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in a relevant electrical and/or mechanical role required, five (5) years plus preferred.
• Strong skills in electrical (3-Phase, 480V, DC, and 24V controls) and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with electrics/mechanics in drive technology (motors/gears).
• Knowledge of control technology (PLC/controls/inverters).
• Understanding of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring techniques.
• Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary system monitoring programs.
• Experience maintaining material handling systems in a light industry or distribution center environment is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Continuous walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing.
• Working at heights of up to 80-100 feet while wearing fall-arrest gear and other PPE.
• Lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
