Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 for our East Chicago, IN facility. You will perform maintenance and repair on CNC machines and industrial equipment, focusing on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, with a team-focused approach.

This in-person role offers a 6:30 am to 3:00 pm schedule, potential overtime and on-call weekends, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience with machining centers, fabrication equipment, or similar industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Strong knowledge of CNC mechanical systems, including ball screws, linear rails, lubrication systems, rack and pinions, gearboxes, and spindles.
• Knowledge of mechanical components, including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, and other power transmission equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, and hydraulic controls.
• Ability to apply existing mechanical and technical knowledge to new or unfamiliar equipment.
• Strong commitment to following company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and applicable safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on CNC machines and other automated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC mechanical systems and related components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot industrial hydraulic systems.
• Perform machinery alignments, leveling, rigging, and equipment relocations.
• Support the installation, startup, commissioning, and continuous improvement of new and existing equipment.
• Work closely with Production Engineering and Manufacturing teams to minimize equipment downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Where and When You’ll Work:

• This is an in-person role, located at our East Chicago, IN facility, which is ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
• Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm with occasional overtime and alternating on-call weekends

Compensation: $28 - 40/hour based on experience.
