Job summary

Techo-Bloc USA is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to keep production equipment running safely and reliably. You’ll handle mechanical repair and electrical troubleshooting, diagnosing issues beyond part swapping, and support continuous improvement across the plant.

Based in Douglassville, PA, you’ll work Monday through Thursday, 4:30 AM to 4:30 PM, earning $33–$40 per hour with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

2 years’ experience in Electromechanics or Industrial Maintenance.
Proficient with power tools, measuring devices, lathe/mill equipment.
Experience with bearing heaters, interference fits, gear boxes or seized bearings/shafts.
Welding experience: MIG & stick.
Fabrication and welding repairs.
Electrical skills and troubleshooting of IOs, relays, contactors.
Able to read schematics/diagrams.
Experience with 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC, 4-20mA systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components (motors, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings).
Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and build hydraulic hoses as needed.
Perform welding and fabrication repairs (MIG & stick) in various positions.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
Install and align new equipment using hoists and precision tools.
Maintain VFDs, PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems.

Job Description

$33–$40/hr base (depending on experience)
Shift:Monday-Thursday | 4:30 AM–4:30 PM
Douglassville, PA (Serving Reading, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Exeter, Birdsboro, Boyertown, and surrounding areas)

The Role: Electro-Mechanic

We’re looking for an experienced Technician who’s strong in mechanical repair and electrical troubleshooting. You’ll keep production equipment running safely and efficiently while helping improve reliability across the plant.

What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Work)

You’ll be hands-on repairing and maintaining industrial equipment, including:

Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components (motors, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, chains, belts, pulleys, rollers, etc.)
Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems (cylinders, valves, solenoids, pumps) and build hydraulic hoses as needed
Perform welding and fabrication repairs (MIG & stick) in various positions
Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, multimeter, and megger
Install and align new equipment using hoists, jacks, and precision tools
Troubleshoot and support VFD drives (SEW, Siemens, Lenze, Allen Bradley)
Test equipment, identify needed parts, complete repairs, and document preventative maintenance
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety procedures
Work at heights and use equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and scissor lifts as needed

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

2 years’ experience working in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance or relevant field.
Proficient with use of power tools, measuring devices, lathe and/or milling machinery
Previous experience using bearing heaters, interference fits, and/or removing gear boxes or seized bearings/shafts
Previous experience with stick and MIG welding.
Will need to fabricate projects as well as make welding repairs
Proficient Electrical skills
Proficient in troubleshooting electrical components; IOs, OLs, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components
Read and comprehend schematics and diagrams.
Experience with 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC, and 4-20mA systems
Able to use multi-meter, megger, and other test equipmentMaintain, install, troubleshoot VFDs, programmable sensors, SCADA, HMI, and PLCs.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
Collaborative; Works in the spirit of partnership.
