Job summary

NPS Holdings LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment in our manufacturing facility. You will help ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency of plant machinery through preventive maintenance and responsive repairs.

Key tasks include supporting maintenance initiatives, performing equipment rounds, wiring and controls work, and collaborating with shift teams to hand off properly.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and machine operating skills.
• Technical or vocational degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Manufacturing or Paper Converting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively in maintenance activities, meetings, and work on specific work orders as needed.
• Assist with maintenance initiatives and monitor compliance with safety policies.
• Manage general facility maintenance, including snow removal, lawn/landscape, HVAC.
• Engage in ongoing department training for each employee.
• Communicate clearly with crews to ensure smooth shift handoffs.
• Facilitate resolution of maintenance issues and escalate to the Maintenance Manager as needed.
• Understand bearing removal and installation practices.
• Pipefitting skills and proficiency with hand tools, portable electric tools, and stationary shop equipment.
• Value preventive and predictive maintenance practices such as daily rounds and lubrication.
• Understand rigging fundamentals.
• Ability to troubleshoot and work with PLC programming.
• Knowledge of contactors, starters, motors, and motor controls.
• Install and maintain electrical controls and automation.
• Wiring 460/230-volt 3 phase motors.
• Understanding of servo, hydraulic and pneumatically actuated equipment.
• Installs machinery according to layout plans and blueprints.
• Experienced with electric motors up to 600 hp including servo driven motors.
• Repair belt, chain, and sprocket conveyor systems.
• Introductory electrical aptitude, willing to grow in the electrical field.
• Lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Responsible for all other tasks assigned.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems within our manufacturing facility. Your expertise will ensure optimal operational efficiency, safety, and reliability of plant machinery and infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities

• Actively participate in downs; meetings; projects; and work on specific work orders as needed
• Assist with maintenance initiatives and monitor the compliance of all safety policies
• Manage the general facility maintenance-i.e., Snow removal; lawn/landscape maintenance; HVAC
• Actively participate in the ongoing training within the department for each employee
• Clearly communicate with all crews and shift the events of the shift to ensure a smooth and highly productive handoff from shift to shift
• Facilitate resolution of problems that may arise within the Maintenance area and bring unresolved issues to the Maintenance Manager
• Understand bearing removal and installation practices
• Pipefitting skills and proficiency at using hand tools, portable electric tools, and stationary shop equipment
• Value in preventive and predictive maintenance practices such as daily rounds and lubrication
• Practice/understand rigging fundamentals
• Ability to troubleshoot and advanced PLC programming
• Knowledge of contactors and starters, motors, and motor controls

• Frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 100 pounds
• Responsible for all other tasks assigned

Required Experience
