Job Title: INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – 2nd SHIFT Tech 3, 4 or 5

Salary: $27.80 - $34.65 PER HOUR PENDING EXPERIENCE Plus $10,000 sign-on/retention bonus

DURATION: PERMANENT, FULL TIME

Our Client is a full-service, tier one automotive supplier, specializing in the design and production of plastic components, accessories, and electronic components. Our Ohio facility houses mold design, construction, production engineering, and dedicated associates in our Quality, Assembly, Sales, and Customer Service departments.

What you will be doing:

TECH 3 - $30.45

1. Works under minimal supervision
2. Identifies, schedules, and manages some improvements and group activities
3. Uses independent judgment on a regular basis
4. Performs moderately complex troubleshooting and repair
5. May mentor lower-level technicians

TECH 4 - $31.95

1. Carries out complex assignments with little or no supervision
2. Leads assigned projects
3. Independently resolves problems; troubleshoots complex issues, exercises independent judgment and makes necessary repairs on a routine basis
4. Acts as liaison between own and other departments
5. May train lower-level technicians
6. Communicates with vendors and outside contractors as necessary to ensure quality outcomes

TECH 5 - $34.65

1. Carries out complex assignments with little or no supervision
2. Plans, leads and evaluates assigned projects
3. Independently resolves problems; troubleshoots complex issues, exercises independent judgment and makes necessary repairs on a routine basis
4. Acts as liaison between own and other departments
5. Develops and implements training plans for lower-level technicians
6. Communicates with vendors and outside contractors as necessary to ensure quality outcomes
7. Communicates with customers, prioritizes departmental work

HOW YOU WILL QUALIFY:

TECH 3

1. Ability to independently identify and repair problems of a moderately complex nature
2. Applies knowledge of repairs and troubleshooting with minimal guidance
3. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of department processes
4. Acceptable performance
5. Minimum of 3 years technical experience

TECH 4

1. Ability to identify and repair problems of a complex technical nature
2. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of departmental job specific processes
3. Proficient in all aspects of equipment operation and repair
4. Acceptable performance
5. Minimum of 4 years technical experience

TECH 5

1. Ability to identify and repair problems of a complex technical nature
2. Proficient in all aspects of departmental job specific processes
3. Leads projects with ability to direct lower-level technicians
4. Exceptional performance rating for at least 1 year
5. Minimum of 8 years technical experience
6. 2 Year Degree is equivalent to 1 year experience and 4 Year Degree is equivalent to 2 years’ experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. General Office Environment (1) hours per day.
2. Manufacturing Environment (7) hours per day.
3. Overnight travel may be required for training.
4. Required to work overtime (unplanned and unscheduled) to meet customer or internal deadlines and requirements.

HAZARDS:

1. While performing the job the position is frequently exposed to moving or mechanical parts.
2. Moderate noise levels with specific areas required to wear hearing protection.
3. Equipment, electric shock, conveyors and chemicals.
4. Approximately 2 hours per day bending.
