Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Industrial Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs a wide range of PLC-controlled production equipment and plant facilities. This role focuses on ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment by performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, diagnosing equipment failures, and implementing lasting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems to minimize equipment downtime.

• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics to diagnose issues and perform accurate repairs.

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.

• Diagnose equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement permanent corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.

• Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and strictly follow all safety requirements and plant safety policies.

• Complete daily equipment inspections and scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, documenting work performed and findings.

• Maintain plant facilities and production equipment to ensure safe, clean, and efficient operations.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with equipment vendors and suppliers to resolve recurring equipment issues and optimize equipment performance.

• Operate forklifts, man lifts, and cranes as needed, following training and safety guidelines.

Essential Skills

• Previous maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong PLC troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing and resolving issues on PLC-controlled equipment.

• Strong electrical maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics.

• Ability to read and interpret pneumatic schematics.

• Hands‑on experience with hydraulic maintenance.

• Hands‑on experience with pneumatic systems and components.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with proven problem‑solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Injection molding maintenance experience is preferred.

• Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus.

• Experience with robotics is a plus.

• Experience with machining operations or machine tools is a plus.

• Experience with electronic repair is a plus.

• Experience with refrigeration systems is a plus.

• Comfort operating forklifts, man lifts, and cranes (training provided if needed).

Work Environment

The position involves performing daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on the production floor, sometimes using forklifts, man lifts, and cranes after receiving proper training. The work may require standing, walking, climbing, and working around moving machinery and industrial noise. Safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), are an integral part of the daily routine, and appropriate personal protective equipment is used as required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $79000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
