Maintenance Industrial Technician

Position Objective: Conduct maintenance of mechanical processes to ensure high reliability. Repair and maintain machinery such as pumps, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production equipment. Observe operation and troubleshoot failures.

Maintenance

• Oversee mechanical devices during operation, identify complications using testing and measuring instruments.
• Dismantle equipment to examine parts, repair or replace defective ones.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet dimensional requirements with appropriate tools.
• Adjust, install, lubricate, and clean parts as needed.
• Operate metalworking tools to make or repair parts.
• Test device performance.
• Request parts and equipment for purchase.
• Perform welding repairs.
• Follow manufacturer recommendations for maintenance.
• Perform basic electrical and instrumentation work as required.

Quality Control

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, using food-grade materials for repairs.
• Assist in maintaining equipment to Food Grade standards, meeting SQF requirements.

Qualifications

Skills & Knowledge (Preferred):

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent education and training.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical terminology.
• Ability to troubleshoot various machinery, pneumatics, robots, and automation.
• Knowledge of laser alignment.
• Welding experience.
• Basic electrical and instrumentation knowledge.
• Experience in food processing.
• Understanding of mechanical components like gears, sprockets, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.
• Understanding of processing equipment such as pumps, fans, valves, conveyors, etc.
