Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring Maintenance Technicians for our Mogadore, OH facility just outside of Akron. The role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and pay from $31.21/hr up to $43.63/hr, depending on experience.

Rotating 12-hour shifts with a diverse work environment; full training and growth opportunities available. Responsibilities include maintenance of mechanical drives, belts, gears, chains, and troubleshooting electrical/mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to plant safety and environmental guidelines.
• Meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals through preventive maintenance.
• Install/repair mechanical drives, belts, gears, sprockets, and couplings.
• Perform maintenance checks and preventive maintenance safely and timely.
• Research online manuals/software related to equipment.
• Lift and work in a loud, hot, humid environment up to 12 hours/day.
• Wear PPE and follow safety rules; work holidays, weekends, or overtime as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical problems and repair equipment.
