Job summary

Linde Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Maintenance Technician in Cincinnati, OH to maintain and optimize large-scale mechanical and rotating equipment across facility processes.

You will plan installations, perform overhauls, inspect turbines, compressors, pumps, and heat exchangers, and apply preventive and predictive maintenance methods to ensure reliable operation and extended equipment life.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience maintaining mechanical and rotating systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in installation, troubleshooting, inspection, and repairs of compressors, turbines, blowers, and heat exchangers.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methods for industrial mechanical and rotating equipment.
• Skilled in using precision measuring devices and performing precision alignment on multi-train equipment.
• Excellent communication and team interaction skills; able to work independently and lead or participate in teams.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping capabilities; proficient with computers and CMMS.
• Understanding of regulatory and industrial standards; machinist/millwright apprenticeship is a valuable asset.
• Experience with vibration analysis and dynamic balancing; familiar with enterprise asset management systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of industrial mechanical and rotating systems including compressors, pumps, turbines, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, and cooling towers.
• Support and maintain water treatment systems, gas-fired vaporizers, hydrogen generators, piping systems, and other related process equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Assist in turnaround planning and cost estimation for mechanical work while identifying and resolving chronic mechanical asset concerns.
• Conduct periodic inspection and maintenance of plant equipment and support root cause analysis for major failures.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance activities in the enterprise asset management system and uphold the Oil and Vibrations Predictive Program.
• Make technical decisions independently and elevate concerns when necessary to protect safety and equipment integrity.
• Perform office work and field work, accessing elevated equipment safely with ladders, scaffolding, man lifts, and crane baskets.
• Contribute to a disciplined, safety-focused environment by executing practices that reinforce compliance and operational excellence.
