Job summary

Linde plc in East Chicago, IN, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead daily maintenance operations for air separation and related facilities. You will plan, schedule, supervise and direct teams to ensure safe, reliable equipment performance and maximize asset availability.

The role requires strong knowledge of rotating and fixed equipment, preventive/predictive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, budgeting, and cross‑functional collaboration with operations, engineering and contractors.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering with 5+ years in industrial maintenance or 10+ years overall experience
• 3+ years of supervisory experience leading maintenance personnel
• Strong knowledge of rotating and fixed equipment and related maintenance practices
• Experience in preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs including vibration and oil analysis
• Experience conducting root cause analyses (RCA) and implementing corrective actions
• Proficiency with CMMS platforms and scheduling tools
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance operations for Air Separation and Liquid Hydrogen facilities
• Manage CMMS processes, backlog, and work order workflow
• Optimize maintenance and reliability programs through preventive/predictive maintenance and KPI analysis
• Direct planned and unplanned shutdowns coordinating with operations and engineering
• Provide technical troubleshooting, lead RCA and corrective actions
• Manage maintenance budgets, contractors, and spare parts inventory
• Collaborate with site leadership to align priorities and drive asset integrity across equipment and site infrastructure
• Support office and field operations, including inspections and travel up to 10%
