Job summary

The Andersons, Inc. is seeking a Renewables Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems.

You will lead preventive and corrective maintenance, respond to critical issues, and ensure safety and reliability in a fast-paced ethanol production environment. Ideal candidates will have hands-on skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, along with CMMS experience and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of basic electrical theory and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to perform basic welding (arc, MIG, TIG).
• Proficient in reading P&IDs and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and overhaul production machinery and facility equipment.
• Respond promptly to emergency or unscheduled maintenance needs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Interpret manuals, schematics, blueprints, and work orders.
• Diagnose malfunctions, replace defective components, and test performance.
• Perform routine plant maintenance and site upkeep.
• Use CMMS to track tasks and inventory.
• Maintain knowledge of safety policies and ensure safe practices.
• Identify unsafe conditions and address them to protect on-site personnel.
• Support plant activities to improve overall efficiency.
