Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain facility and production equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing failures, applying corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates will have 2 years of industrial maintenance experience or a related program, proficiency with PLCs, electrical systems and a CMMS, and the ability to work off-shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of industrial maintenance experience (focus on electrical/motors) or graduate from an Industrial Maintenance program or related discipline.
• Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.

Responsibilities

• Repair, modification and improvement of facility and production equipment with proper and precision techniques.
• Provide corrective actions to all levels of equipment/system failures utilizing root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to fabricate and weld various types of metals is a plus.
• Utilize the CMMS to assist in the development and the execution and follow-up on maintenance activities.
• Safely perform work in accordance with Tyson policies and procedures, including LOTO and arc-flash requirements.
• Work with Supervisors and Planners to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PLC-controlled equipment, motors, pumps, conveyors and related systems.
