Job summary

Aerotek in Newton, WI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery. You will perform predictive and precision maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability while following safety and environmental guidelines.

The role requires flexibility to work multiple shifts, including overtime as needed. You will work with operations to identify maintenance needs, read blueprints, and program VFDs to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year industrial maintenance in manufacturing or an associates degree in a relevant field.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyors.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with industrial controls including PLCs, motor controls and instrumentation.
• Experience programming variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance per PM schedules.
• Willing to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery.
• Perform predictive and precision maintenance to prevent failures.
• Maintain equipment to meet performance and uptime targets.
• Collaborate with operations to prioritize maintenance needs.
• Follow safety and environmental guidelines and participate in the safety program.
• Support production goals through effective maintenance practices.
• Read and interpret drawings and schematics to guide work.
• Work with PLCs, motor controls, valves, distribution systems and instrumentation.
• Program and adjust VFDs to optimize equipment performance.
