Job summary

Sika Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic in New Jersey to join a safety‑driven team focused on keeping production lines running. You will troubleshoot hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveyors, and electrical controls, while performing preventive maintenance and equipment changes as required.

The role requires 5+ years of industrial maintenance and strong reading of schematics. Work is on-site with a focus on safety, quality, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma.
• A minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with 480 Volt 3 phase power, logic controllers, motor starters and VFDs.
• Mechanical drawing, math, blueprint reading and electronics knowledge are useful.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveyors, feeders, mills, cranes and other equipment.
• Perform electrical and controls troubleshooting (PLCs, I/O modules, VFDs).
• Set up/changeover equipment and perform preventative maintenance to meet schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety guidelines.
• Read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics and blueprints.
• Order parts and coordinate repair with machine shops when needed.
• Attend training and perform other duties as directed by supervision.
