Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Deming, NM to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, troubleshoot electrical and PLC systems, and ensure safety compliance.

This role requires hands-on skills in welding, fabrication, conveyors, processing equipment, and the ability to read schematics; the position offers competitive hourly pay, overtime, benefits, and opportunities to grow in electrical and PLC maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing or processing environment.
• Strong background in electrical systems (AC/DC, 480V).
• PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley).
• Welding certification or strong welding experience.
• Experience with mechanical systems, fabrication, and pipefitting.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to work all shifts and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Bilingual preferred but not required.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (480V, 240V, 120V).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen Bradley).
• Conduct mechanical repairs on conveyors, augers, mixers, pumps, and drive systems.
• Perform maintenance on fillers, cappers, cookers, coolers, and processing equipment.
• Execute welding and fabrication tasks, including torch cutting and plasma cutting.
• Maintain and repair refrigeration systems, boilers, and water softeners.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and plant safety procedures.
• Perform lubrication, inspections, and general maintenance tasks.
• Support plant operations by minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as needed.
