Job summary

Packaging-Corporation-of-America is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain plant equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and PLC systems. This on-site role requires reacting quickly to downtime and following safety protocols.

Candidates should have 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, knowledge of multi-discipline systems, and the ability to work any shift, overtime, and weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of repairing and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC systems.
• Be passionate about maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Ability to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and replace mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on plant equipment and facilities.
• Use maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, decrease downtime and waste.
• Work with a sense of urgency to respond to machine downtime events.
• Complete in-house training programs to develop equipment-specific maintenance skills; travel may be required for external training.
• Follow all safety and company policies including lock-out tag-out procedures.
