Job summary

Freshpet is hiring a Maintenance Technician to uphold the Production facility by performing preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment, supporting production goals, quality, cost and safety.

The role requires at least 2 years in an industrial setting, strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, and ability to read blueprints/CAD drawings. Responsibilities include machine setup, maintenance, and adherence to GMP/HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial environment experience.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
• Experience with PLCs, ladder logic, and control systems troubleshooting.
• Reading blueprints and CAD drawings is expected.
• English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of maintenance repairs and services.
• Troubleshoots breakdowns of machinery and production line.
• Setup and disassemble machines as needed.
• Performs daily plant maintenance and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoots and performs related functions on industrial equipment and PLC.
• Performs changeovers and installs motors, belts, drives, etc.
• Coordinates special projects as directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintains records via PMs and SAP work requests.
• Ensures GMPs and HACCP standards are followed.
