Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to design, implement and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLC) and troubleshoot electrical equipment on the production floor.

You will support preventative maintenance and quick repairs to keep lines running efficiently. The role requires experience with electrical systems, PLCs, and strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety and sanitation in a fast-paced dairy environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six years related experience.
• Ability to read and understand instructions.
• Solid organizational, analytical problem solving and communication skills.
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical issues and equipment breakdowns.
• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on production equipment, heating and cooling systems, ingredient handling systems and plumbing systems.
• Install, maintain, repair, and overhaul production equipment; install electrical equipment/controls, circuits and PLC.
• Record preventative maintenance tasks and work orders promptly; respond to maintenance calls on the production floor.
• Train others as needed and able to influence others.
