Job summary

tggaccounting in Auburn, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production equipment in a plastics environment.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, is dependable, and eager to learn. Training precedes a 12-hour rotating shift with opportunities for growth in industrial maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience or training in industrial maintenance or related technical field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic electrical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Willingness to continuously learn new equipment and technologies.
• Good attendance, reliability, and teamwork.
• Military or trade school training encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plastics production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Repair grinders, conveyors, dryers, hopper loaders, and cooling systems.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records and PM programs.
• Assist with equipment setups and coordinate with production staff.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to improvements.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Occasionally assist with facility maintenance and piping.
