Job summary

CHEP in Temple, TX is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance on plant equipment, diagnose mechanical failures, and assist with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. The role requires hands-on maintenance in a fast-paced production environment.

Paid training is provided; starting pay is $21/hour with shift options on 1st or 2nd shift and a 0.75/hour differential for 2nd shift, plus full benefits from day one and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for up to 12 hours and lift 75 pounds.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to read and use mechanical and electrical schematics for troubleshooting preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in industrial/production environments is typical.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance on conveyors, pallet handling equipment and related systems.
• Document performance and maintenance activities in the CMMS.
• Assist with troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in safety trainings.
