Job summary

Cruz Associates Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Regular Technician at Naval Weapons Station Indian Head, MD. The role involves maintenance, repair, and installation of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, steam, compressed air, carpentry, fire alarm) and design/production of shipping containers.

Must be able to work in explosive and non-explosive areas as determined by management. Requirements include 5+ years in residential/commercial construction, carpentry equipment knowledge, High School Diploma,

Qualifications

5+ years of residential/commercial construction and finish techniques.
Sound technical skills are required.
Strong math skills for measurements and calculations.
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Assist with maintenance, repair, installation, and modification of process equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Troubleshoot, repair, modify, and conduct preventative maintenance on complex systems.
Document work performed on record sheets and archive data.
Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings for constructing shipping boxes and modifications.
Assemble and erect wooden boxes and dunnage for storage of energetic materials.
Design and repair storage boxes, crates, and pallets.
Track and maintain wood inventory logs for shipments and job orders.
