Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment across the facility. You will work with production operators, engineers, and service providers to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation work, with opportunities to contribute to reliability improvements and a safe production environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2-year technical college or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience with motors, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics, electrical systems and controls, and basic PLC troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Fix, maintain, and install equipment across the facility to keep operations running smoothly.
• Use wiring diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and other instructions to identify and solve equipment problems.
• Complete routine preventive maintenance to help prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
• Find and repair electrical problems, including replacing faulty parts when needed.
• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment, including motors, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Create or update wiring diagrams and maintenance records to support future repairs.
• Order and track parts and supplies needed for maintenance work and recommend important spare parts to keep on hand.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and help minimize production downtime.
• Work with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and service technicians to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
