Job summary

Portobello America is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability of electrical systems in the Baxter plant. The role involves diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting safety-aligned repair work to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or technical certification is preferred.
• Licensed electrician or journeyman certification preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E).
• 2+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment, including motors, control panels, conveyors, and press machines.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in production equipment, diagnosing and fixing faults with sensors, control circuits, and wiring systems.
• Ensure proper functioning of PLC systems and other automated electrical control systems.
• Support maintenance team in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in production machinery.
• Assist in installation of new machinery and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and plant specifications.
• Update and calibrate electrical components for manufacturing processes.
