Job summary

FM Industries is seeking a Facilities/Maintenance Technician 2 in Fremont, CA. The role maintains and improves production equipment, facility systems, and electrical infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable operations.

It includes preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, HVAC, and mechanical domains. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in industrial maintenance, and experience reading schematics, with PLC troubleshooting a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Technical certification, trade school diploma, or associate degree preferred.
3+ years of industrial maintenance or facilities maintenance experience.
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
Diagnose equipment failures and implement repairs to minimize downtime.
Install, modify, and upgrade equipment as required.
Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
