Job summary

Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation of America is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to keep the facility and equipment running, install and repair manufacturing machines, and support production in a fast-paced environment on the factory floor in Georgia.

The role emphasizes 5S/TPM practices, safety, and teamwork; HS diploma or GED plus 3+ years of electrical/mechanical experience are required, with basic MS Office skills and welding fabrication experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years minimum electrical and/or mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics required.
• Basic computer skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Welding and/or electrical certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility and related equipment in focus area.
• Install, modify and repair manufacturing machines and equipment, plant support equipment, facility structure and grounds.
• Troubleshoot maintenance and process problems and develop preventive/corrective actions as needed.
• Support manufacturing to achieve safety, productivity and quality targets and Kaizen initiatives.
• Maintain and improve 5S and TPM activities.
• Support equipment downtime reduction initiatives.
• Work in a team environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
