Job summary

The Sheridan Group in Vermont seeks an Industrial Maintenance Technician 2 to perform maintenance and repair of production equipment and building systems with independence and competence in at least one trades area.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM schedule with overtime as needed, paid time off, and a range of employee benefits supporting ongoing training and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Fundamentals of electricity.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good interpersonal skills; teamwork required.
• Ability to work productively and safely.
• Reliability and good attendance required.
• Overtime or emergency call availability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Frequent standing, walking, handling, and overhead reaching; occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, sitting, crouching, crawling.
• Must wear hearing and eye protection and safety shoes.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance or repair of production equipment and building systems.
• Work on a Monday–Friday schedule with 40 hours per week.
• Overtime may be required; emergency calls as needed.
