Job summary

The Advance Group partners with a leading foundry and heavy industrial facility in Westland, MI to hire a skilled Maintenance Technician. This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, continuous operations.

You'll perform preventive and predictive maintenance on heavy machinery, read blueprints, coordinate with production teams, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience required.
• Foundry or heavy manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain and repair foundry and production equipment including furnaces, conveyors, molding machines, compressors, pumps, and dust collection systems.
• Diagnose equipment issues and reduce production downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
• Conduct inspections and perform equipment adjustments or repairs.
• Install, align, and replace machine components as needed.
• Document maintenance activities and repairs accurately.
• Work closely with production teams to support uptime and efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
