Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Tech at the Joplin, MO plant to monitor, repair and maintain production equipment, and perform preventative maintenance on facility utilities.

You will setup and test equipment for startup and ensure machinery runs reliably with proper lubrication and timely repairs. You will contribute to a safe work environment, follow GMPs and SOPs, and collaborate with the Maintenance Planner, Team Leaders and Operators to optimize line start-up and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and components including chains, sprockets, gears, bearings and gear boxes.
• Previous Refrigeration experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain processing equipment (mechanical and electrical).
• Inspect, recognize potential problems and prevent component failure.
• Monitor machinery to minimize downtime and identify improvement opportunities.
• Schedule and develop routine and preventative maintenance with the Maintenance Planner.
• Assist Team Leaders and Operators with line startup and equipment adjustments.
• Perform building maintenance including carpentry, plumbing and painting.
• Follow all policies, GMPs and SOPs; promote a safe work environment.
• Weld and fabricate machinery when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
