Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. seeks an Operations Team Manager I at the Joplin plant to lead the shift line, delivering safety, quality, cost, and efficiency targets. You will coach the team to achieve and sustain operational excellence through continuous improvement and adherence to company standards.

You will build capability, plan daily activities, and partner with maintenance, engineering, and quality to drive performance, reduce waste, and ensure GMP/HACCP compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
• Experience delivering performance improvements in safety, quality, cost and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the shift line team to meet and exceed performance standards in Safety, Quality, Cost and Efficiency.
• Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans aligned with site and corporate goals.
• Conduct regular team meetings, coach members, and recognize achievements.
• Oversee daily production activities and resolve issues quickly to maintain line standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
