Job summary

Leggett & Platt in Havre de Grace, MD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair, maintain, build, overhaul and troubleshoot a variety of machines and equipment. You will perform facility maintenance and support conveyor systems, hydraulic and electrical components.

Ideal candidates hold an Electrician Certification, can read technical prints, and perform preventative maintenance with strong Troubleshooting skills; you must bring your own tools and work in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must hold Electrician Certification.
Ability to perform essential duties and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Review maintenance work orders and PMs to ensure timely completion.
Analyze recurring machine problems and develop permanent repairs and cost reductions.
Perform preventive and routine maintenance as scheduled.
Identify and obtain replacement parts via prints, catalogs or vendors; process requisitions for approval.
Operate lift trucks and other equipment as needed.
Follow all safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.
