Job summary

Leggett & Platt is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair, maintain and troubleshoot a variety of machines and equipment. The role requires reviewing daily work orders, conducting preventive maintenance, and analyzing recurring issues to implement permanent fixes.

The position is non-exempt, hourly, and based in the United States. Candidates must have an electrician certification and a high school diploma or GED, with the ability to operate lifts and use personal tools as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Electrician Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery and equipment.
• Review maintenance work orders and PMs daily to ensure timely completion.
• Analyze recurring problems and propose permanent fixes and cost reductions.
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance as scheduled.
• Look up repair parts via prints, catalogs or online, and obtain quotes.
• Provide own tools for job tasks.
• Operate mechanical drive systems and various lifts as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area and plant floor.
