Job summary

CRH’s Oldcastle is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure the proper mechanical functioning of plant equipment and to troubleshoot electrical/electronic malfunctions, completing repairs and ongoing maintenance.

You will maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, install power wiring for new machines, read blueprints and schematics, diagnose faults, calibrate equipment, and keep stock of parts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent or technical training.
• At least 2 years of industrial electrical or mechanical support experience.
• Must understand OSHA safety requirements for electrical and mechanical operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment in the production area.
• Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines.
• Operate mechanical tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Prepare maintenance reports for management.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly drawings.
• Diagnose and test malfunctioning machinery and discuss issues with facility personnel.
• Replace or repair faulty electrical and mechanical components of machines.
• Calibrate and adjust equipment per manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain stock of tools and electrical parts for routine work.
• Weld and fabricate as required.
