Job summary

Friesen’s Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve equipment across our stainless-steel fabrication facility.

The role emphasizes reducing downtime and supporting production goals with strong mechanical and electrical expertise. The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years in industrial maintenance, experience with CNC systems, and working knowledge of electrical and pneumatic networks, CMMS usage, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience maintaining CNC-controlled manufacturing equipment, fabrication equipment, or automated production machinery.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems including motors, motor controls, relays, contactors, sensors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Working knowledge of pneumatic systems including valves, regulators, cylinders, air dryers, and compressed air distribution systems.
• Must possess and maintain a personal basic industrial maintenance tool set.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Diagnose equipment failures and determine root causes to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and service providers when advanced technical support is required.
• Maintain spare parts inventories and communicate maintenance-related purchasing needs.
• Support production personnel by responding to equipment issues in a timely manner.
