Industrial Maintenance Tech (Boiler Operator)

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks including troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on plant equipment.
• Focus on troubleshooting and repairing electrical and PLC systems.
• Work as part of a team to safely perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdown calls in a production environment.
• Utilize maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, reduce downtime, and minimize waste.
• Follow all safety and company policies, including lock-out tag-out procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting and repairing PLCs, conveyors, controls, operating systems, or other electrical equipment.
• Current third-grade Stationary Engineer license or boiler license; PCA will sponsor.
• Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical trades.
• Experience in the corrugated packaging or printing industry.
• Electrical or PLC certification.
• Experience with drives/PLCs from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Lenze.
• Basic understanding of ladder logic.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Proficiency with PLCs.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Basic computer skills for diagnostic equipment.

Pay and Benefits

• Hourly pay ranges from $29.70 to $44.22, based on skills and experience.
• Overtime pay at 1.5x for hours over 8 per day and 40 per week.
• Overtime pay at 1.5x on weekends and holidays, with additional overtime on holidays.

• Paid training to advance skills and increase pay.
• Tools: technicians supply basic hand tools; PCA provides stipends or replacements and all heavy and special tools.
