Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, service and repair plant equipment while upholding safety standards and Tyson policies. The role supports continuous production with hands-on mechanical and electrical work across lines.

The position requires 6 months of mechanical experience or related training, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and PLCs are a plus. Strong communication and physical stamina are essential for long shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of mechanic work experience or graduate/student of an industrial maintenance training program.
• Experience or certification in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronics, plumbing and welding.
• Knowledge of PLCs is a plus; strong electronic skill set required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment to keep production running.
• Set up, adjust and break down production line machinery.
• Learn Tyson SAP software to create work orders and complete daily documentation.
• Communicate effectively with team members, producers, USDA personnel and drivers.
