Job summary

John A Biewer Co Inc in McBain, MI is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to service and repair machines across the production facility. This full-time role requires troubleshooting hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems and automation on a 5:30 PM – 5:30 AM shift with a 5/5/2/2 schedule.

You will install, maintain and modify equipment, calibrate systems, keep accurate maintenance records and train staff on preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance or lumber/manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals and procedures.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical principles.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and modify production equipment to maintain efficiency.
• Install and calibrate machinery and instrumentation per schematics.
• Clean, lubricate and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose issues by observing equipment in operation and with measurements.
• Maintain inventory of parts and generate maintenance reports.
• Train staff on preventive maintenance practices.
• Follow safety rules and participate in safety programs.
