Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and corrective maintenance on production machinery and mechanical equipment
• Diagnose equipment problems by observing machinery in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments
• Disassemble equipment and remove defective components using hand/power tools and material-handling equipment
• Fabricate or modify repair parts using basic machine-shop equipment and machinist skills when needed
• Adjust functional components and control devices to manufacturer/company specifications using hand tools and measuring devices
• Coordinate routine preventive-maintenance activity with supervisors and technicians to reduce unplanned downtime
