Job summary

Hood Container Corporation in Oldsmar, FL seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to support corrugate manufacturing. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, reading schematics and PLC documentation to rapidly restore production equipment.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and comfort with CMMS reporting.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Hands-on maintenance experience required.
Experience in a corrugated packaging plant is a plus.
A relevant technical degree, certification, or completed apprenticeship may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on corrugate equipment, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Troubleshoot and repair drives, motors, gearboxes, belts, rollers, glue systems, steam systems, and controls.
Read and interpret schematics, prints, pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams, and PLC-related documentation.
Work with AC/DC drives, VFDs, servo systems, encoders, and PLC-controlled equipment.
Document maintenance work accurately in the CMMS system.
Partner with operations to improve machine reliability and uptime.
Follow OSHA and Hood Container safety standards, including LOTO.
Support vision systems and automation tied to machine operations.
