Job summary

Graphic Packaging International’s Marion, OH facility is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform machine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager. Wages start at $29.19 up to $38.42 depending on skill and experience, with an extra $1.50 shift differential for night shift.

The role covers installation, repair, testing, root-cause analysis, and adherence to SQF-safe practices, with opportunities to contribute to safety and reliability

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in an Industrial Maintenance Technician position.
• Working knowledge of electronics and electrical systems.
• Good knowledge of industrial maintenance practices.
• Exceptional mechanical inclination.
• Knowledge of plant equipment used in folding carton manufacturing.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Use computer systems for basic tasks.

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs mechanical components of industrial machinery.
• Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses diagnostic findings with operators.
• Analyze equipment problems and perform root cause analysis.
• Follow safe work practices per policies, OSHA regulations, and electrical code.
• Work from elevated surfaces (scaffolding, platform lifts, ladders).
• Identify hazards and advise management of dangers.
• Perform basic metal fabrication using a welder.
