Job summary

International Paper in Aurora, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Fox Valley Container Plant. You will perform maintenance support in a fast-paced, technology-equipped facility, applying mechanical, electrical, and control skills to maintain equipment uptime.

You must be able to work second or third shifts, cross-train, and collaborate with operations teams. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance and safety, with growth opportunities within a global company.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of maintenance troubleshooting in a manufacturing facility.
Ability to safely operate in a fast-paced environment and meet uptime goals.
Experience with lubrication, bearings, and power transmission is preferred.
Experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting including PLCs, motors and drives.
Willingness to cross-train in other technical areas and work second/third shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide maintenance support at the Fox Valley Container Plant to maximize machine uptime.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems (PLCs, motors, drives).
Perform preventative maintenance in assigned areas and maintain records.
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to diagnose and resolve issues.
Operate computer systems for maintenance work orders and stores.
